Tell him or forget him???

Question

Okay so I have known this guy for years. I had a crush on him when I was a little girl. Well then I started to like him more and more. But he is painfully shy, especially around me. Like he barely talks when I am around. Well for a couple of years I tried getting over him. So I started dating other guys but I broke up with all of them because I cant stop thinking about him. The only problem is I have no clue how he feels about me. What should I do? Tell him how I feel or start working again to forget about him. I doubt it is lust because he isnt exactly a hottie but he is very sweet even though shy. btw I am 18 if that matters

Tell him. No questions asked. I am a shy boy my-self. I am always waiting for someone to ask. But i am seen as a freak because i am a mosher (turning goth) so you can see where i am coming from :) just go for it. Dive in. Hopefully this will be the start of a beautiful relationship

Sounds to me like you're obsessing badly.

Tell him and see where it goes from there.If he remains weird,then break it off and don't look back.You cannot change or "fix" him.

If he has emotional and/or mental problems he will need professional help hon.You do not want to get into a relationship with someone who is not emotionally and/or mentally healthy,and it sounds like you might need a little counseling yourself hon.

Painfully shy, hm mm, sounds like myself. :P For the most part it seems like you had a crush on this guy for the most part of your life. The only advise I have is to be a straight shooter, what I mean by this is to ask him straight out, get it all in the open. Some guys just don't pick up on little hints, sometimes it has to be poof right in front of him spelled out. That way you know for sure he gets the complete idea. Once you find out for sure there isn't a chance then you have to move on and know it wasn't right for you. Now if he says lets give it a shot you know to take it slow and let him open up to you. A few ideas would be just you and him hang out. You know pal around together not dating and get a little close. Let him get a comfort feeling of being around you. You might be surprised to find out he maybe thinking of you and that he doesn't want to run you off by opening his mouth. The painfully shy falls hand in hand with the ability to think before he speaks. It gives the guy time to form thoughts around beautiful ladies. As to not sound like uneducated idiot. Be warned the shy side might wear off quicker than you think. Always two sides to a shy guy. This means that shy ones are ok until they warm up to you. When they warm up to you they can be highly persuasive. To be a little arragant, I can use my shy side to get what I want. I have been called evil, and shy till I hit the bedroom. Just keep your mind working and be cautious. You have a lot to learn young grasshopper. :P Just easy as it goes.

You cant forget someone till that someone knows how u feel...Tell him how u feel and if it doesnt work out then you forget..

If you feel this strongly about him you need to talk to him and explain how you feel. If he is this shy he may like you and you just don't know it. Good Luck.

Talk to him about it.

That's the best advice i can give. If he's the reason of your break-ups, he obviously means alot to you.

The worst that could happen is that he says he doesn't feel the same way towards you and if he does say that it'll be alot easier that you knew and that way you'd probably get over him.

But there is a very strong possiblity that he likes you too, there's no way to know unless you talk to him.
