  1. Are you hungry?

Anyway my mum used to crazy with the food. We used to be in the kitchen nearly all day cooking. It wasn't like we invited guests over. We used to cook big dishes for normal family members.

It was up until I started practicing that I told my mum we shouldn't waste te day in the kitchen because we rarely do any ibaadah.

    Alhamdulillah it's changed now.

  5. Baklava, these arab biscuits, i'm not sure what they are called.  but its got dates and biscuits with them,  we also drink fruit juice and fizzy water, u know we eat what we eat normally, cos Ramadan ain't about the food :P` lool.  So we don't make a biggie about it. :)

  6. I always make maklooba the first day of Ramadan, its kind of like a tradition.  I always make some kind of soup, usually lentil or vegetable soup.  I do not make sweets, because honestly I am not good at making sweets, but luckily we have Arabic sweets which are readily available and our favorites are kunafa and kitayef.  As for juices, I have a juicer and I use it all the time, not just in Ramadan.  I make mango cocktails (fresh mango with fresh orange juice).  My husband and I love carrot juice (fresh carrot with a touch of apple).  Very yummy.

  7. I love Baklava, Dates and Milk, yummy!  Though pretty much anything I eat while in the presence of my wife and kids is delightful :-)  Allah knows best!
