A great high-class (but not overly trendy) restaurant in Del Posto...beautiful interior and delicious food.

it's an ah-mazing greek restaurant, beautifully decorated, quite fancy and definitely expensive.

19 west 44th street between 5th and 6th avenue.

it's also right near many theatres so it would be easy to eat there, then go to a show.

Daniel and LeBernadin are two of the best (and "fanciest") in New York.  Their food is always great (unlike Tavern on the Green which is "fancy", but the food is very ordinary (and overpriced)

Katz's Delicatessen on Houston at Ludlow. Order pastrami on rye, have a pickle, and a Dr. Brown's soda. Nothing else. You won't have to order anything else.
