Tell me about Joe Louis and facts about him please!!!

First of all disregard that statement by the user about Joe being 147 years old.  Joe was 37 with a record of 8-2 when he came out of retirement in 1950 losing only to Marciano and Ezzard Charles.  Clearly not the fighter he once was during his prime but still dangerous.

Joe is regarded by many people as the greatest heavywight champion of all time and his record makes it very difficult to dispute.  He was also regarded as one of the classiest champions in boxing history.

Suffice it to say that the Brown Bomber fought & beat so many opponents so frequently that the press dubbed his opposition as the " Bum of the Month Club " although he fought many quality fighters. The fact is that Louis was so  exceptionally good that, compared to Joe, a good fighter  only looked like a bum.
