  1. Runcorn

Situated in the outer south east

    Postcode: 4113 | Distance to CBD: 15km

Runcorn is about 15km from Brisbane’s CBD.  Over 50% of households in the area are couples with children, 29% are couples without children and 17% are single parent households.  75% of the dwellings in this area are stand-alone houses and townhouses account for another 24%.  The houses are mainly modern, brick and tile structures on reasonable sized blocks, and there are many modern townhouse complexes.  There are plenty of parks and greenspaces in the area.   The median house price in Runcorn in 2006 was $300,000.

    Eating and drinking

There are plenty of great dining options in and around Runcorn. If you’re looking for a local café, take-away, pub or restaurant you’ll find it here.

    Shopping

There’s Runcorn Plaza on Warrigal Road, Pinelands Plaza on Beenleigh Road and Garden City only a suburb away.  No need to face the parking problems and tribulations of shopping in the city – Runcorn has it covered!

    Education

If you're looking for playgroups, childcare, kindergartens or schools in this area, you'll find them here.

    Leisure

Check out this section for things to do in your spare time. There's sport, leisure activities, local events and more.

The whole place is a haven of multicultural bliss. Children can play safe and learn from the biggest mix of Asian, African and Muslim influences that could be imagined. The food, the drink, the lifestyle of having so many cultures together bring Runcorn to the front of my mind.

    Community & Government

Government offices, local libraries, churches, volunteer organisations, ward offices and more - if you're after contact information for government and community organisations, this is the place to start.

  2. Quiet little suburb of Brisbane and has one of the better State High Schools there, as my step son became Captain of the School.

  3. runcorn...out of town, has a common view of being a bit ghetto (although lots of outer suburbs do e.g. inala, ipswich) but apparently it's all talk - i've heard that its not actually as bad as it sounds
