  1. well let's see if you don't mind getting wet then you can get sit on top  you should always kayak with some one always wear a pfd {aka}life jacket buy a kayak paddle they have blades on both ends be carefull and keep the hairy side up    yes there is different kayaks for different conditions white water kayaks are for that they are not good on lakes rec boats are good for paddling around lakes you can use them on rivers if it's not going to be rough water  .

  2. 1. River and falt water kayaks are all very different. River kayaks are shorter and can't carry gear so that is something to think about.

2.I would recomend a sit in boat. They keep you from getting wet and are more stable.

    3. I am a personal fan of Jackson Kayaks and Necky

    4. Dry or splash top, helmet, spray skirt(if you are getting a sit in kayak), and the most important a PFD also you may want to thing about splash pants and booties.

    5. No all paddles are for both hands.

6.If you want to get a kayak and all of the equimpment, youw ill have to spend about roughly $1500. This sounds like a lot but if you really like the sport it is well worth it.

    7. Not different condtions but there are for other disiplinces. There are freestyle which are more shaped and shorter.

Creekers which are for bigger rivers.

A mix of freestyle and river running can be used for smaller rapids and freestyle.

    8. I would recommend it but there are always other people on the river.
