  1. Not sure what you want to know but put your napkin on your lap, don't chew or talk with your mouth full and don't slurp your soup. Watch what everyone else is doing.

    USA.

  2. OK.  First, there are a lot of people not answering seriously.

I live in the northeastern USA.  It depends on how far you want to take table manners.  For me personally, I chew with my mouth closed.   I cut large pieces of food with a fork and knife and not just shove it in my mouth.  I'll put a napkin on my lap if out in a restaurant.  When I eat bread, I pull off a small piece at a time, put some butter on it, and eat it.  Liquids should not be slurped.  If I need something that is across the table, I ask someone to please pass it my way.  When I am done, I excuse myself from the table and take my dirty dishes to the sink if eating at a guest's home.

  3. Keep your elbows off of the table.

Don't talk with your mouth full of food.

Don't chew with your mouth open.

Wait until everyone gets their food before you start to eat.

    That's just a few pointers.

    :D

  4. eat as much as you can and shovel food into your mouth like you're a starving indian. Then burp and f**t as loud as you can to make everyone at the table laugh. Also, race to get the last bit that's left or it will be all gone.

  5. If you hesitate with your fork someone else at the table grabs your food. It's our custom.

  6. In the USA it is customary to punch the host in the nose before sitting down to eat....
