  1. One word ... c**p hole ( that's two words isn't it!)

  2. Depends on you?

Summertime is best for outdoor living.

Visit the National Parks such as THe Peak and Lake district.

Become a member of YHA for discounts on accommodation in youth hostels.

Go to Scotland  Edinburgh and Dublin if you can afford it!!!

  3. expensive, violent,cloudy... its okay where i live though.

  4. Anybody with a  modicum of sense has sold up and gone, but don't let me put you off.

  5. It is a cold rainy sort of place, and the food is awful. I so admire the Italians I meet, always so well dressed with natural style, and the way they cook with simple natural ingredients is wonderful. If only you could change your political system, I would come and live in your country. I teach at University, my hobby is reading and learning, and at home I like to cook Italian dishes. Visit here once then you will be glad to go home.

  6. It has great city life

    It has wonderful countryside

It has a long and interesting history

It is full of good actors, musicians and writers

The weather can be pretty grim, especially up North

    The coast line is spectacular

    The people are mostly friendly

  7. its ok nothing special

  8. schools are quite cool. We have comprehensives, grammar and private schools. they are not like American schools, though some have cliques like Chavs, Emo's, Scene Kids and Ganstazz (hahaha). Free time? Ugh, I'm 16 so I may have a distorted view but not much! We go to the cinema loads, London for shopping, parks, we have quite a few theme parks too, gigs - we have lots of them, especially in London, and not just professional bands, the teens here are pretty into rock/music gigs.

We do have yobs, they are called Chav's. But their not a problem everywhere, at least not where I live. They're not a problem though.

We have awesome west end shows in Theatres, we, as a country, excel in creative aspects such as music, acting, humour.

Our television is awesome! We have incredible writers and actors as said before.

Weather - hmmm. Last week we went through a spell or incredible weather - it was hotter than Spain, but it varies but in South East - West and general South it's not TOO bad (excluding November, December, January, April + May). Our summer weather is good though.

People are generally very friendly and kind, we have sweet little villages and towns as well as big, glamorous cities. Good universities and schools too.  Food is ok, i guess. Restaurants for food from other countries are great, not really sure about our English restaurants. But we have very nice tea:)

Our government is a mixed up at the moment though. What with tax and the economy.

Come and visit, but only August ish time, the weather's decent (mostly) then.

  9. Its COLD! thats all you need to know :)

    love it though

  10. I am studying in the uk and have friends here. It's great - we do a lot of travelling though. I study at the uni of manchester, we party quite a lot, and we watch derren brown on tv ;)

Here's my friend's blog and u can see for yourself how beautiful the UK is:

the uk is very nice! :)

  11. For some strange reason, most tourists enjoy their visit to the UK.

I think we who live here see it differently.

But like most countries it has its good and its bad points.

Our public welfare and free Health Service - altho it has its snags - is the envy of many countries.

    .........................................

Our climate is inclined on the grim side  - cloudy, cool and wet for a large part of the year.

    .........................................

Wages are pretty good, but we are amongst the most expensive countries in the world.

    .........................................

We have a long and interesting history, with accompanying historic castles, monasteries, country houses, mansions and such - and some pretty villages.

    .........................................

London - the capital - is popular with visitors, and has a lot to see.

    .........................................

In general, the people are polite, helpful, and friendly  - if you don`t bump into our yobs - and we have our share of those.

The British sense of humour is very offbeat - we laugh at ourselves - and at anyone who strikes us as funny!!

  12. its cold

    its wet

    we have chavs

and we LURVE italian gals ;-)

  13. Some one once said "The grass is always greener on the other side of the field"!

It is'nt, you can look at whatever you like on the internet and find out all sorts of 'facts' about the UK, all different facts.

You may get all sorts of different answers here to your question, come and check it out for your self, thats the only way.

  14. Well the government is pretty cool, what with the free health care and the social services and the media always hounding them and keeping them on their toes. (A big story at the moment is how an action by the government is being overturns by public response... the 10p tax rate... nice to know its a true democracy)

The music scene has always been pretty good. We're in a stage of nu-rave at the moment where trendy kids are going out in illuminous stuff and raving.

There is some yob culture, which we call the chavs. But the media ridicule them and they really have no need to feel 'ghetto' and can be ignored.

We hate America and think we've just about paid our dues now foe WW2.

Basically it's a nice developed country, but we're a bit uncultured cos of our history and sea borders.

So come bring some of your culture to our shores! We'd love to have you!
