Twenty yrs ago a friend & I drove down to Key West Florida to say we did it. We stopped in Long Key just after we had crossed the seven mile bridge to set up camp because it was getting late & to camp was only $10.00 back then.Since neither one of us had purchased a tent yet, I slept upfront & my friend slept in the back of the p-up. Around 1:00am or so , we were invaded by raccoons , getting into our campsite & belongings. Just as I was about to get comfortable again, I had this odd feeling of dread come over me. Almost as if I couldn't move, & feeling as if something were watching me. I raised up to look out the passenger window & saw a shape in the mangroves , not far from the truck. I looked closer & realised it was the shape of a man, but he didn't seem to be be definate in appearance. I could tell, & this was only a matter of minutes or maybe seconds,that his clothing was old & not present day.No noise was ever made & this thing never moved but remained within 10 ft. or so away. Well, that was enough to lock me up inside & out , so I hid back in the cab & tried to ignore it. Like I said, this feeling of dread had taken over me. After what seemed like an eternity,I evidently fell asleep until the next morning .I had never said so many prayers in one night. While we were getting ready to break camp, my friend asked me what I  was doing just standing beside the truck last night & proceeded to kid me about the raccoons.I told him my story and the weird feeling I had. Finally we both just shrugged it off & proceeded to check out of the camping area. On the way out , the park ranger asked if we had visited the old fort on the island & we explained our comming in late . He said that there had been a french fort and that there had also been alot of wrecks out in the ocean area due to p****y many yrs. ago. He also stated that the whole area was reported to be haunted all through the keys. Maybe it was a ghost & maybe it was my imagination. I've never seen or felt anything like that again in my life, & I believe that I'm quite sane.I think that if I wanted to make something up, I'd surely make it more intresting an add a few more details .Anyway, who knows?

me and some of my friends were doing a ouija board and i started mumbling and hearing things. my friend who is a strong believer like me felt a presence. it was pretty creepy.
