  1. hi.. i'm italian and i live near venice.. venice is a wonderful city in spite of many problems. it's unique in the world.. all the little channels, the boats, gondola(s), the strange and lovely people who live there.. everything  makes a fantastic atmosphere..when i go there i stop in the middle of a street and start to think how great this city is..

Then it's full of monuments, fantastic palaces and so on.. there's a seaside resort within 20 mins by boat and there are a lot of facilities for turists.. we can say that turists are the fortune and the problem of venice: almost all the venecians live on turism, but the city is always crowded and sometimes dirty because of turists who don't respect the town..!

you should really vist it...!!! then it's full of fantastic shops...

    bye.. :)

    how's my english??? :) kisses

  2. It is my favorite place in the whole world.

It is the most beautiful city that i have ever been to. There are no cars at all, and of course, canals running all threw the city. One day the city will be underwater though- it will take a while. You can see where the water level was lower once, like where stairs once were but now are covered with water and partly green.

There is never "nothing" to do.

The water level rises and falls at different times of day, so in certain areas it becomes flooded and you are to travel of little walk ways-almost benches- across the giant puddle.

It is an adventure and positively amazing.

  3. im just guessing that a lot of Italians are going to be there!

  4. very very pretty,  like a stage set,  full of Venetians all year,  and when summer vacation comes it is full of tourists .... the canals are beautiful,  the bridges enchanting,  the palazzi (palaces) along the canals are nice,  good food,  a good range of hotels from inexpensive to four-star... lovely to look at the sea,  be sure to go to Murano even if just for the boat trip,  nice to walk along the little alleys off the beaten path,  take a gondola if you wish ~ some of the gondoliers sing while they paddle you along and some do not !!  Get to the Rialto beach which is quite pretty ...Venice has a very historical vibration:  you can almost *feel* what has happened ....it is quite damp !!

  5. We lived in Italy for 3 years and visited several times to Venice.I can tell you there is a beautiful square-I think it was called St.Marcos square with a ton of pigeons everywhere dropping bombs on us,that was gross. It has lots and lots of little shops and it smells. The walkways are very narrow. An awesome place to visit though.

  6. Google it.
