  1. I went on that 2 years ago ! I'm 15 myself.

The boat is old so you have a separate key from your sail and sign card(unless they updated).  There is camp carnival on the ship, and this ship was very easy to navigate for me. I had fun on that cruise, but 5 days is too short for me now.  There is an arcade & shows for you just like any other boat. Have a great cruise!

formal night - you have to get dressed up for captains night in honor of the captain.

all food is included in what your parents paid for.  soda, excursions, and the arcade are not, however.

  2. Wow that's a lot.  Let's see.  Go to the Carnival site and they have great info about What You Need to Pack.  You will have a formal night.  Basically on Carnival people dress all over the board.  I saw those in Prom dresses, cocktail dresses and just plain underdressed.  No one really cares.  However that night there is a Captains meet and greet where they introduce you to the crew and a lot of photo ops for a great family picture.

All food, cabin, and entertainment is included.  They have drinks like lemonade, tea, etc that is all included.  Soda is not.  They do sell a soda card if you drink a lot but I don't think it is that difficult to go 5 days without Coke.

Go to the Carnival site and look up shore excursions.  You can see what excursions they offer at each port of call and try to get your parents to book the one you like.  They have at least 20 excursions per  port of call from snorkeling and scuba diving to shopping tours or historical things.

They have a teen club with activities for those in your age group.  Each day you'll get the Carnival Caper delivered to your cabin.  It will include all the activities for the following day that are happening on the ship.  You can find out about bingo, art auctions, movies, kareoke, and a million other things going on during the day.  At 15, you may decide to go to some of the events and not all.

Usually I just lay out by the pool during the day.  Around 6, they put up the deck chairs and you go and change clothes.  After then, the dress code is a little more dressed.  No shorts and tank tops allowed in the dining room.

That's about all you really need to know.  You are having a great time.  It's a really laid back atmosphere and there are hundreds of things to do on the ship--with or without the Carnival teen club.

  3. Well, apart from the bars and the casino...

Ok, seriously as a teen you will probably find an arcade somewhere near the disco.  The disco will also probably hold a "teens-only" night which will give you a chance to dance part of the night away.  The pools are open until about 10pm nightly.  I also think the Imagination has a pizza-parlor at the rear of the boat that's open 24hrs.

Soft drinks cost extra (couple of bucks each), but lemonade and iced tea are free (look for the machines).  Pretty much everything else is included in the price of your cruise.

The formal night, think of wearing an old homecoming/prom/bridesmaid dress.  Dress as nicely as you want.  It's a night to show off.

    Have fun

  4. If there are alot of you in a cabin you can use the spa shower for free and usually the shampoo and soap dispenser there carries great stuff. You can get just about anything at the Pursers desk and if you are feeling sea sick they have pills there at no cost. On the Carnival Imagination there is a really cute waterpark area and mini golf. You can order fruit bowl at anytime. make sure you stock up on room service snacks for debarkation. I would not buy a soda card, if you really need soda than just carry a 12 pack onboard in your suitcase.

  5. Your best bet is to go on Carnival's website. The food will be included but drinks are extra. There might be some sort of drink plan that gives you unlimted drinks for like $5 a day. Phone and internet service is very expencive (phone service $8 per min). For the formal night that is only if you are dining in the main dining room (which is the best) If you really don't want to get dressed up you can just go to the buffet. The formal night(s) (might be more then one) just means you have to get dressed up for dinner. Order a brochure/DVD and look at it. Click here http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/brochure... Also did you book through a travel agent? If so he/she can answer all your questions. If you booked through Carnival you can call them with any other questions you might have.

  6. Hi, maybe this video by a traveler who went on a "Carnival Destiny" cruise will be helpful for you: http://www.tripfilms.com/Travel_Video-v6...

At least it will show you what the cruise ship is like.
