Tell me everything you know about traveling to Japan?

thinking of going there for 6-days in october. but am undecided.

best answer to the person who gives the most information, and is the most helpful.

now, i want to hear about EVERY aspect, but on a side note, i am OBSESSED with art. so, anything describing that type of thing is appreciated.

Yes, someone can tell you about it. But no matter what you'll never really get the amazing experience unless you find out for yourself. It's a beautiful country with beautiful people. Just go!

I am also going to Japan so I did some research and found that they have Art Museums in Tokyo. Manga is also a form of art. The kids who do cosplay can also be described as art because of their make-up and how they dress.

This is a huge question (which is probably why you're not getting any answers).  

Might I suggest you break it down into smaller specifics and post them as separate questions, i.e., where can I find interesting art in Japan?  What are some of the cultural things about Japan I should know as a visitor?  What is the best way to get around?
