  1. O.K., I am not sure what the 2nd time means but if you are looking for the step-by-step in getting going in the homeschooling adventure, I will tell you that there isn't enough room in this email to give you the whole thing....BUT I can help get you started at least.

First, you should do a bit of research about what the state of KY requires for homeschoolers.  Each state varies about its legal requirements so it is important for you to discover that.  You can start your research with going to the HSLDA web site.  They will have a brief description of the basic requirements for each state.  They will also have information on your second step....getting involved with a local support group.  Homeschoolers need one another for fellowship and mutual support.  If you can get in touch with one of the support groups in your area, there are knowledgeable people willing to give you support and information about curriculum choices, testing, and other details so you can be successful in your homeschooling endeavors.

    Good luck!

  2. I would cover all of my bases the first of which doing a little soul searching including asking yourself if this is what you really desire.  I say this because you mention homeschoolinging for the 2ND time.  Next check into home school laws for your state as laws vary from state to state.  Get legal information

I would begin by going to http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?St... and my state and/or local department of education.

Before investing in curriculum look at different ones in the meantime you could even join local homeschool support groups, attend an upcoming Home school convention.  You could find quite a few free resources online until you determine which if any curriculum you want to use (I am a moderator for a new resource bank site and you could find tons of information there).  Some are fortunate and their local school district offers resources.

Finally, get a support group be it online or family and friends.  I hope I have helped and much success in your endeavor.
