Tell me if my school overreacted?

my school suspended me for 3 days after i sent the message "hi losers" over the network with the cmd prompt i think it was a total overreaction it only required a simple network reboot

i did something like that once. i made a batch file with a net send command :P it said something similar. They are NOT overreacting. I was in LA Unified School District at Pedro High and they said they were gonna transfer me to Gardena High, which is pretty far when you do not have your own transportation. Consider yourself lucky.

PS - I smooth talked my way out of it and acted stupid and got away with detention ;D

wow..my friend once did that but he sent a smiley face instead..all they did was yell at him. Maybe it's juss bcuz you said hi losers. But still..3 days..?

Perhaps you shouldn't have sent that message over the network.

i think its because you messed with the schools property not because of the message you sent.

if you knew it would only be three days

would you have said something alot better then "hi losers"

they did overreact thats stupid. maybe like after school detention would have been fine. but 3 days hahaha lame

One day, I was reading how to do that online and I tried it during school. I send the message "FCK Lafayette!" (which is my highschool). A day later, the school security came and got me, took me to the office, and asked me if I did that... I was freaked out because it actually worked. LoL I was not punished in any way though.

So yea, your school did over react!
