  1. You are asking vegetarians if a sausage sandwich is unhealthy?  May I ask why?

Anyhoo...it's high in fat and high in calories.

  2. This is in the wrong category!  Also, yes it is unhealthy.  Cheese is full of saturated fat, sausage is an over-processed meat.

Try lowfat cream cheese and jelly on a whole wheat bagel.

  3. I would prefer not to use products that require to consider animals as 'objects'

  4. Try Turkey Sausage. It's lower in fat.

  5. What kind of cheese?

  6. The only unhealthy thing i see is the sausage but you need to eat things such as the sausage and other meats to stay healthy but you can easily over do them

  7. Sausage depending on how and who made it. Common commercially available sausages are not good at all. Home made sausages using fresh gound or chopped meat are okay as long as they don't put too much fat (but would make it taste like sawdust but at least low fat). Cheese, same thing. Bagel, same thing. personaly, I won't eat those things.

I prefer fruit smooties for breakfast or if I eat something solid, poached eggs (2) and whole wheat toast, juice or iced green tea

Midmorning snack: fruit or a snickers bar

Lunch: Salad or a sandwich when alone, grilled fish/meat if (with sides of course)on a business lunch

Afternoon snack: trail mix with nuts and/or more fruit

Dinner: I normally don't eat dinner but I will sit down with the kids and have a bite of something to keep them company. Every now and then, I will have some grilled rib eye or barbecue or something.

Water, coffee or green tea all day

    Scotch after "dinner"

Obviously, I am not a vegetarian

  8. Yes it's unhealthy. I am a nutritionist. The egg is the only healthy part - and only if you don't fry it. "Wheat" bagel only means it is made from wheat flour. It does not mean it is whole grain. Only when it says "100% whole grain whole wheat" is it actually whole wheat. The sausage and cheese are mostly saturated fat. I suggest oatmeal which is high in fibre and slow digesting carbs that will keep your blood sugar level. The fibre actually attaches itself to fats in the bloodstream and drags them out of your body. Add frozen blueberries for flavour, fibre and antioxidants. Add ground Flaxseed for Omega 3 oils that will make your skin, hair and nerves healthy. If you don't like the texture of oatmeal experiment with how much water you cook it in - that will change the texture. Add low fat milk if you prefer. If this isn't enough food, have natural fresh ground peanut butter (jarred varieties have added oil, icing sugar and salt) on whole grain toast, plain yogurt with fresh or frozen fruit added - there are lots of healthy options fro breakfast. Another healthy choice is a soft boiled or poached egg on Whole Grain toast.  Or scrambled with with extra egg whites and veggies using a teaspon of extra virgin olive oil. I'm not a fan of smoothies even if the ingredients are healthy because i don't encourage people to drink their calories. Our bodies do not sense fullness on liquids as they do with foods. Orange juice is the same as Koolaid with a few vitamins. Your blood sugar will rise rapidly making your pancreas react by pumping out alot of insulin.  Eat an orange instead. The fibre in the orange will make your blood sugar stay level. Hope that's helpful.

  9. your in the veggie section, do you mean veggie soy sausage?  if so it's not unhealthy. i eat that quite often (i use mini bagels and no eggs). if it's real sausage then yes that makes it unhealthy.  not just cuz it's meat, but sausage is very very fatty and high cholesterol and just not good for you.  also use egg whites instead of whole eggs.

  10. It does sound a bit unhealthy, but once in a while is ok. Sausage is processed, cheese is high in fat, egg depending on how it is cooked is good for you.

  11. Its unhealthy, but depends how the sausage was cooked and what kinda cheese it is. The egg is filled with cholesterol as well

On a bagel, i like hummus with lots of veggies like cucumber, peppers, carrots etc, This also goes nice if you toast it to.

  12. I feel as long as you don't eat them every day it's ok.  In general sausage is high in fat and mixing meat and cheese is not good for you.  But here and there I think is fine and I would definitely lean more towards the turkey sausage.

However, my favorite is Taylor ham/pork roll, egg and cheese on a toasted sesame seed roll.  Yum.  : )

  13. lose the sausage, egg, and cheese.  replace with chopped veggies and sprouts.  now you have something healthy.  need a bit of fat?  use avocado slices

  14. sausage is mystery meat! yuk! It's where the meat processors put all the gross parts of the animal like brain tissue, spinal tissue, and the a**s!

  15. This is the vegetarian section!

I sure hope that you're talking about soy sausages, not the meat kind.

and if soy, see above, it's way healthier...

oh and try eating a piece of fruit too, it's also good for you!!!

  16. Totally unhealthy, except for MAYBE the bagel.  Why don't you spread a little hummus on your bagel instead?

  17. Eat what you want.  Unhealthy is a choice.
