Tell me please, is this considered child abuse?

Question

I'm allergic to dogs, and my mother has six. We originally had four, but after we found out she went and got two more.

About once every week and a half, I have an allergic reaction. I cough very harshly for an extended period of time which eventually causes the back of my throat to bleed from the irritation.

More frequently then the coughing fits I get really bad sinus issues and migraines.

She doesn't care about my well being at all, and when I have these reactions she inisists that I'm faking it and gets extremely mad at me.

Its not necessarily child abuse because she apparently isn't doing it intentionally.  However, it could be considered child neglect.  She should be taking you to a doctor to determine if you really are allergic to the dog or if you don't simply have severe allergy problems in general.  Not telling you that she thinks you are faking and get mad.  Sounds like she has some issues.  She's clearly putting the dogs before you.

How old are you? It sounds like neglect and lack of love and attention. The right lawyer could convince a judge/ jury of abuse.

it is not considered child abuse.  but maybe you could work a deal out with her, like brushing dogs outside frequently  and vacuuming the house daily and they have to get regular groomings, and maybe talk about if she gets another dog, get a hypo-allergenic dog, such as a shih tzu. and talk to her about no dogs in any of the bedrooms. ask your doctor about allergy medications.

Well, not unless she's taking a dog and rubbing it in your face.  That would be child abuse.  Are you taking medication for your allergies?  

Speak with your doctor about the situation, and bring your mother along.  Have him or her speak to your mom and tell her how crucial it is that she at least keep the dogs outside.

Many cities have bylaws banning more than two dogs. Call your city dog licensing department. This could be your out!
