There are a huge number of sites available on the internet, one of the best one is www.planetsourcecode.com

There's CodeProject (http://www.codeproject.com), and a lot of open source code that is freely available at SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net).

I do agree that you can use a combination of seeing what other people have done to enhance your own skillset. But don't make it your only source of building applications.
