  1. I'm not sure what "cool" means....perhaps you can define it and we can help you.

    Tara, if you're after history go along to Glasnevin Cementary the next time you're in Dublin and take one of the tours. They're fantastic and will give you a complete history of Ireland based on the headstones.


  2. The best way to do it is to read up before you go... I wish I had. Even if you don't normally read history books or historical fiction, your appreciation for everything in Dublin will be much greater if you read up on Dublin in general before you go.

    My most memorable experience there was visiting Dublin Castle, and only because of the lower level, which is probably still being excavated. I really wish I had taken the time to learn before I went... I wouldn't have passed up the opportunity to visit places like the GPO if I had done my research first.

    Dublin has a relatively young population, so if you're young and into clubbing and stuff, it's also a good place for you, but I was mainly after the history when I was there.
