Nikon makes a professional line camera between $4000 and $5000, the current model D3. Canon's professional line camera, the EOS 1DS Mk III sells for somewhat more. If you are in India, I assume buying from there would be fine. If you are in the USA, buying from anyplace besides here is not a good idea, as the camera carries no type of warranty from the manufacturers. You are out of luck, should the camera stop working... Neither Canon nor Nikon will repair or update/upgrade a camera not being a USA version ... no way... no how. This is their way of discouraging people from buying or importing in gray market camera equipment.

Nikon should be a good choice...usually the craze of India....as far as I know...

Sony has its own reputation..go to a Sony Dealer..thats better...

Canon is also good......

compare technical features like editing pic in the camera itself, picture resolution, some inbuilt templates helping us to make photos easier, etc
