  1. I have three children with autism, and non of them have the same behaviors. They each have their own little "quirks", but I would say the closest things they have in common was late or no speech, & in their own little world.

One talks to herself all the time

One thinks he is an animal (most of the time a tiger)

One thinks that if something can be spilt her job is to watch it pour out.

  2. It ddepends on his age, I have to work in early childhood education gor over 6 yrs. Trust me you can tell.

    Speech

doesnt play with other, but will play beside them

    no interst in the potty

shape of head, is  bigger than noraml

this is for younger kids about 3-5

older kids I would look at the social skills

  3. Here are some of the behaviors autistic people have but not all behaviors and present in all people.

Inapropriate eye contact, may not want cuddling or hugging, may not be able to express needs may use gestures, unusual attachment to objects (toys, spoons, forks, etc.), may prefer to be alone and may repeat sounds or phrases (echocalia).

  4. my daughter has autism. we found out when she was four. she would walk on her tip of the toes, make sounds, and alot more . but different children have different behaviors. my doctor gave me a checklist of 200 things and all were related to autism. they are sensitive to sight, sound, taste, touch and smell. they can get overstimulated and "shutdown". they can cause harm to themselves. my daughter use to bite herself and pull out her lashes and hair on her arms when upset. some can bang their heads, rip clothing. it goes on and on.

  5. poor social interaction

    lack of empathy

    no eye contact

    self-stimulus behavior (flapping hands, etc.)

    poor speech
