  1. 1.Turn off the lights when you don't need them.

2.Use products that are recyclable or make sure the box it came in is made of recycleable materials.

3.Walk, ride a bike or take public transportation to work or to the mall or wherever.

4.Plant trees, shrubs and flowers that will help return oxygen to the air.

5.Mow the lawn with a push mower (or even electric) instead of the gas type

  2. stop using bulbs, throwing cans , stop using plastic as much as possible , don't waste paper as it needs a tree to be chopped for our stationary, go green, try to save water and use low lead fuel

  3. Don't litter! Plant a tree! Use less fossil fuels! Encourage others to do the same things!

  4. sooth you are hilarious lol .. "use tree leaves instead of toilet Paper " lol

    no dont do that  ...

bike alot , conserve energy if the lights are on turn them off ... do not pollute , No smoking .. that's good too ... dont cut tree but plant them

  5. There's heaps of ways!  Something to keep in mind as well is that in helping the environment, you generally help your own health as well.

    Water conservation:

    - Limit your showers to 5 minutes

    - Place a bucket in the shower and sinks, when they're full empty them on plants (to prevent eco-unfriendly grey water, use environmentally friendly detergents and soaps)

    - Turn the water off whilst cleaning your teeth and washing your hands

    Energy conservation:

    - During daylight hours open windows and doors as much as possible, and make sure lights and appliances are turned off and unplugged when not being used

    - Using energy efficient fluorescent light globes

    - Use ecologically friendly detergents, sprays etc (should be some at the local supermarket - or visit the Planet Ark website) Besides helping the environment, this will also benefit your health, as with normal household sprays etc, the air indoors is about 10 times more contaminated than it is outside.... eco friendly sprays will clean the air.

    Resource conservation:

    - Recycle as much as possible (if you don't already have a bin system, establish a two bin system - one for normal trash and the other for recyclables)

    - Purchase Christmas / birthday cards and paper made from recycled materials

    - Use a re-usable shopping bag, instead of plastic bags

    General:

    - Ride / walk / use public transport as often as possible, to reduce fuel emissions

    - DON'T feed wildlife - while it may seem you are helping birds and other wildlife by feeding them bread etc, this is bad for their digestive systems and does them more harm than good

    - Try and buy locally produced goods (this way you are supporting local businesses, and reducing the environmental costs of imported products)

    - Fresh produce is friendlier than packaged food (veggies and fruits)

Hope that helps somewhat - good luck and good on you for wanting to help! :)

  6. recycle

turn off water lights when you dont need them on

turn off heating and put on a jumper if you get cold

    plant trees and flowers

walk instead of a car because a car makes polution

    dont use hairspray

  7. Plant trees, clean your surroundings, Avoid using sprays and burning or anything that contains CFC because it affects the ozone layer. Start it with yourself. Ü

  8. protecting the environment is a full time job. And the good news is everyone can do his/her own bit. As they say charity begins at home, environment protection too begins with every individual.

here are some every day changes one can make to protect the environment.

Remember the three R's Recycle, Reuse and Reduce.

Recycle as much as possible, plastic and paper is recycled al most every where.

Reuse, do not throw away something just because its primary use is over. Think of other uses for it, for example, in India, plastic signboards are re-used as mud guards for two wheelers by every body.

Reduce. Use less, try using glass rather than plastic cups. they can be washed and reused. Use a motor vehicle only when distances are too large for you to walk or cycle. Don't throw out your wet kitchen waste. Bury it in your backyard or vegetable patch, and it will be great fertilizer. Just bury it deep enough.

If you have soap water left from your clothes washing, use it to wash your vehicle and save on water. these and many more ways can help protect our environment.

Try to switch off all appliances, even Pc's when leaving a room.

Equally important is convincing others to follow your example too.

  9. I'm trying to do my part by encouraging everyone to have at least one live plant in each room, especially if it's air conditioned.  If you want to know the best plants?  Please use NASA's Clean Air Plant Study as a guide.  It can be found at: http://www.zone10.com/tech/NASA/Fyh.htm

  10. Try Planting trees... Stop creating Pollution.....etc etc

  11. plant trees and flowers ..... make a trashcan separating the trash that spoil and the trash that does not spoil ( or what  we call biodegradable and non-biodegradable ) ... recycle the old bottles.

  12. recycle, planet trees, use less fossil fules

  13. stop using toilet paper - use fallen tree leaves : save the trees

walk everwhere or ride a bike to take the first step in putting cars and buses out of business : save the atmosphere

re-use water - put a bath full of water and leave it there for a month, use the same water to bath everyday

sell your house or your parents house or whatever and convince your family to move into an ecologically friendly tent with you - relieves pressure off of the earth and is the first step to stop all this land clearing in favour of houses.

stop the sewer system by pooping in the outdoors - gives the earth much needed manure for growth and such and clears sewers.

quit school - be the first to say no to tree-derived products such as books, pencils and paper.

Be the first man, be the first.

  14. A great place to start is with the tips in the book '50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth.'  The book features a wide variety of ideas on different forms of conservation from recycling to energy efficiency.

When you're ready to move on I would suggest that you start looking into the topic of green or sustainable living.  There are a large number of books being published on this right now.  There are also a lot of magazines you might find interesting, everything from 'Organic Gardening' to 'Mother Earth News.'

There are a lot of avenues available to you to take action.  The trick is to start with small things, such as turning off the lights when you leave a room or switching to florescent light bulbs.  Incorporate these one idea at a time.  These "small" actions really add up.

The books and magazines mentioned above are common titles, and will probably be available at your local library.

  15. Do your own cooking (in large quantities) at home, the cooking should be either vegetarian or vegan style and eat more fresh, raw fruits and vegies that you have grown yourself, and don't eat out, especially at fast food places. (lots of waste there.) I haven't had much luck in growing my own fruits or vegetables, but usually follow my other advice.

  16. DONT FLY- if theres another way to get somewhere dont take a plane because if the number 1 worst thing you can do is fly.
