  1. Clay as in the the soil, is actually a bunch of rectangular plates connected together, when looking at it under the microscope.  The long sides have + charges attracting - nutrient chemicals and the the short sides have - charges attracting + chemiclas.  So the very cool thing is that clay is the source of getting nutrients in the soil.  No clay = no nutrients = no life.

  2. if everyone converted their light bulbs to the energy ones, the energy saved would be they same as the energy consumption of australia. (plus all the landfill probably seeing as those bulbs last like 7times longer..)

    convert people convert! ;P

  3. I like two sugars in my coffee.

  4. did u know they found the model for the  MONA LISA...

she's a merchant wife name start with a G..[sorry can't remember how to spell it.]

  5. Urine is sterile, although Brad Pitt kind of blew the lid on that one. (vague fight club reference =D)

  6. 1. To produce one cotton t-shirt in takes around 25 baths full of water because cotton is a very water intensive product. To make one pint of beer it takes 170 litres (37 gallons) of water because of growing the hops and barley and the filtration process. For every teaspoon of sugar it takes 50 cups of water. For every cup of coffee 30 gallons. FOR EVERY HAMBURGER 528 GALLONS (2400 litres).

When you use products grown by the earth be really respectful and do not waste them because it has taken a lot of valuable water to produce them. When the products are grown overseas, not only could you be depriving poor locals of their water sources you are also contributing to global warming from the transport costs. Buy local, buy organic, buy what you need, buy fresh un-packaged, eat left overs and grow your own food.

    2. Glass takes around 10, 000 years to decompose if thrown in the bin and taken to landfill. But it is a great non-toxic material that can be recycled over and over, so if you have some glass make sure it gets recycled.

    3. A single plastic bag can kill over 7 different marine animals. They look like jelly-fish in the water and animals try to eat them, choke and die. Their body decomposes quicker than the plastic bag (which can take 100s year to break down) so the plastic bag goes on to kill again. Plastic bags are responsible for over 100, 000 marine animal deaths each year.

These are some of the facts I like that I think not many people know/think about. Hope there is something new there for you to spread around!!
