of course the first thing you can see in Chennai is the Marina Beach, and from there you can go and have a lokat the fort as well as the light house,then you visit the famous Parthasarathi Temple  in Triplicane, Then you can go and visit Valluvar Kottam inNungambakkam, then for shopping you can ..visit Spencer Plaza in Mount Road  .hile going from chennai  to pondicherry youcan enjoy a good part of the day in Mahabalipuram, where the pallava ruins are situated,otherwise you cango to the theme parks on the way likeVGP wonderland and MGMTheme park. In pondicherry the best place to stay is in the Ashram, where the charges aare economical and the food provided is good.
