Tell me what YOU think of these movies?

Question

So my birthday is tomorrow and I got a sweet gift card to Blockbuster from one of my sisters - so tomorrow night my hubby and i are going to stay up late and watch movies together after my son goes to bed. I love horror movies lke Halloween & The Grudge etc, but have seen a lot of them already but not the more recent ones. I asked around to my friends and they said that I would like these : tell me what you think of them. i am not limited to horror though - i like comedy as well . I really want to see The Strangers but it's not out yet!

Well, I have not seen all of them, so I'll just judge by the ones I've actually seen.

1. Untraceable was okay, but definitely not the best movie, nor the worst. It's an okay movie to rent, but I personally wouldn't buy it.

2. An American Haunting I found to be rather good. It had a good twist in it at the end!

3. Shutter was disappointing to me. The previews looked extremely good and I made the mistake of buying before seeing.

4. The Zodiac, I'm assuming you mean the one with Jake Gyllenhaal. I only saw it once and that was awhile ago, but I think I remember it as being an okay movie.

5. The Amityville Horror was also okay. A few of the scenes made me jump and I thought Ryan Reynolds did pretty good considering he mostly just does comedy movies.

6. The Exorcism of Emily Rose was something I expected more from. Alot of people told me about how scary it was and I didn't find anything scary about the movie at all. It was a pretty big letdown.

Out of the others, I've been wanting to see 21 [:

Identity- was a great movie with a unique story line and a great twist.

21- I thought was an ok movie especially being based on a true story but it dragged alot and was longer than it should have been.

An American Haunting- I thought was good. Nice storyline.

Zodiac- I didn't like to much it dragged and the ending (from what I can remember) was horrible.

Amityville Horror- I thought was actually amusing because how bad it was.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose- Was pretty good worth seeing at least once.

If I were you I would go with Identity, An American Haunting, and the Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Identity is really good, one of my favorites

Amityville Horror was good

Here are my opinion of the movies, some i havent seen as well.

From your list, this what i liked, more details below on each movie: Identity, An American Haunting, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose .

Identity - Good movie, i like this one, watched it over and over a few times. I think its got a good twist to it.

Untraceable - Havent seen yet, probably rent it or netflick it later.

21 - No interest in seeing, does not appeal to me.

Prom Night - After seeing the trailer, i wouldnt waste the money to rent it, wait to see it on hbo or something. Seen too many movies that look just like it, plus its a suppose horror movie, why make it where its rate pg-13.....

An American Haunting - Good movie, watch it over and over a few times. Interesting ending to it.

Shutter - i was disappointed in this movie. The previews looks good but the movie was too predictable. Ending was lacking.

Zodiac - Boring, my gf loves watching these kind of movies and after 30 mins we were both bored to tears and left the theater (plus side is the theater gave us free movie passes since we didnt like the movie and left before half over). The movie just moved to slowly to get anywhere.

Amityville Horror - the newer one. - Lost interest not too long after the movie started. Just didnt keep my interest in it. Barely watch it the first time and havent watch it since then.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose - another good movie, enjoyed watching this one. Based on true events.
