The pale green one is my favorite.

When I was in Vietnam not too long ago, I loved it that schoolgirls still use the (white) Ao Dai as their school uniform.

The classic white ones. Ones that have been altered to fit western style just don't do it for me, such as a lower neck line, and flowy arms.

i've never seen a viet namese bride in her colorfull long wedding gown and matching "crown" that did not look like the "queen of all asia" .. just beautifull.....   i like the woman in the red ao dai, however the classic for me will always be the school girls on bicycles in their "blinding white" ... how do they keep them so white on the dusty country rds and air polluted sai gon highways??... i have a friend who is infatuated w/ the "ao dai".. each week i send him another post card showing the variations and many styles of the traditional dress... i myself prefer solid colors

...I like them all ! , they look SO elegant,and suit the natural beauty,and shape of Vietnamese women.., I fall in love daily seeing the many beautiful Vietnamese women,wearing traditional dress,sitting  so elegantly ,"side-saddle" on the back of a motor-bike,as the driver manuevers through heavy traffic,legs crossed,perhaps reading as they go,as if sitting on a chair in an elegant restaurant,unconcerned with the choas of traffic surrounding them.., a picture of serene beauty..., and one of the main reasons I moved here from Hawaii,they have pretty girls there too,...But,as I like to say..."Doo Wah Diddy,The girls are pretty, in Ho Chi Minh City ! " ,hehehe...
