Tell me what you think its a thank you poem for a mentor.

I am planning to write this on the side of a thank you card

for an old friend of mine helping me bring my confidence back like an older sister.

Thank you for watching me

for when i could not see

Thank you for telling me

i am what i can be

Thank you for bringing back

what i thought went out the door

Thank you for its my potential

I thought i never saw

If they are mentoring you to win the Pulitzer, then it's going to need some help. If you just want to say, "Thank you" then it is very nice.

Its very good. But according to me feelings can be best put forward in the form of a blank verse poem. But its all in a poets individuality, and will to write what he wants. I am sure she will love it.

The last couplet is awkward....

Thank you for revealing my potential

that I never knew or saw.

Thank you showing me my potential

That I never saw before

I'm sure your friend will be delighted that you have gone to the trouble of creating this verse for her (much more personal than a tradtional Thank You card)
