Tell me your opinion....Do you belive in mermaids?

And i dont mean the mermaids like areal i mean the mermaids that are like a foot long and are really ugly? because i fully belive in them but they might just be carvings from tribes.

Many Sailors believe in Mermaids otherwise why would they tattoo them on their arms.  Many different cultures believe in mermaids too.

Folktales about mermaids or sea nymphs have existed since ancient times when they were called Nereids by the Greeks. Probably all for the same reason.

A man who has been at sea for a long period of time, especially in earlier centuries where he was outside under the sun working all day, might easily hallucinate a beautiful woman swimming along the ship with a fishtail. Maybe it was a manatee or a dolphin. Or just the sensual swell of waves breaking along the bow of a ship.

I personally don't believe in mermaids, but one thing I can say for sure, is that if sea nymphs or fairies or elementals exist, there is no spell that can turn you into one, any more than you can change yourself into a teapot.

manatees have often been thought to be the mermaids of lore.  I must consider that most people out at sea for months at a time or drinking sea water may have some mental issues...

Real mermaids are just as large as humans are.. And there are young mermaids teen-age mermaids and adult mermaids.... An any merperson that is a foot long is still considered a baby mermaids....  And a huge percentage of the mermaids that are captures in deep-sea fisherman nets are teen-age mermaids................. And yes they are much stronger then one might imagine and their tail can be used to knock an human senseless.... And if you just happen to run into a merperson while swimming in the oceans of this world.... You can kiss your butt good-bye... For merpersons have as much mercy as a shark attack.... And they both have a mouthful of very sharp teeths..............
