  1. The truth is that neither will fill up first.

  2. Dont you need two hands to pray?

  3. One pair of hands at work does more good than a billion hands clasped in prayer.

  4. the only thing that will fill up is the hour glass as you sit there waiting.

  5. If wishes were horses my children would eat meat this week.

Seeing as I do not pray, it is difficult for me to comment.

I look at their hungry little faces, turned upwards, imploringly at me and I say to them "Who are you, Dickensian waifs? Shoo! Be off with you! I have no children".

Which is lucky, for the horse, really, if you think about it.

Wishes and prayers; they are little more effective than talking to an empty room. Only the dust hears you, and nothing comes of that.

  6. "...my cup runneth over..."

    Psalm 23

  7. The hand you pray in.

  8. You'll walk away empty-handed.

  9. the prayer one will of course,

A wish is something we do for Genies, lucky coins, Tooth fairies, fowl pelvises etc.

A prayer is something that we do to a higher power who may not always give us what we want, but what we need.

So seeing as how I would have to say a wish hand would never fill up, but a prayer hand may or may not fill up, then I am correctin my choice.

Now add the old saying of p**p in one hand to the equation,

no doubt the p**p hand will fill first, but I think the prayer guy still has you beat, and with much less soap and smell. Who win's that lifes little battle, an empty hand of faith, or a full hand of S*@!!!

  10. A wish, as every one knows, is a 'fantasy,' so the hand with the wish would always remain empty.

Prayer; on the other hand, is real, pray is answered, therefore, the hand with the pray, would be full and my cup would over-flow.

    Shalom.

  11. Good question, I'm not really sure, but if you c**p in one hand and pray or wish with the other, I can guarantee you which hand will fill first...

  12. Neither.  Both are equally ineffective.

    Religion is superstition.

  13. Don't you just love subtext?  And how many people just don't get it?

  14. None of them, but the hand that actively gets to work to make things happen.
