  1. I was induced because at 41 weeks, I was not effaced or dilated or ANYTHING!  Started the Pitocin at 11pm, got my water broke at 4am, baby's heart decelarated at 630am, everything was fine again, 930am epidural, 1pm stopped dilating at 5cm, c-section at 3pm, son born at 3:37pm.  Oh and during my c-sect, they knocked me out so I didn't get to "meet" my son until like 2 hours after.  He was 9lbs10oz and 21 1/2" long.  The thing I'm proud of is that I recovered fast enough to only stay for 2 nights in the hospital, instead of the standard 3! :p

  2. hard

  3. Mine was ok.  I was induced because i was a week late and had dilated to five centimeters without any pain or contractions.  The Dr. put me on pitocin and nothing happened so they broke my water.  That is when the pain began.  They gave me a shot of stadol...makes you feel loopy and not so aware of the pain. I only labored for 3 hours and pushed for 45 mins. I got a second degree tear, but my daughter came into the world perfect!  7lbs 6.5 oz and 20 inches long.

  4. my labor was quick.

water broke at home at 11:15a got to the hospital around 11:45a wasnt having any contractions so they gave me pitocin went from 3cm to 9 1/2 cm in less than an hour and at 3:37 p i had my beautiful baby girl at 7lb 5oz 19 3/4"

i had no epidural cuz i progressed to quickly and i had a 2nd degree tear that was killer.

i had to at least pee twice before i could be released and boy was i scared to go cuz of the pressure cuz i was afraid i would tear my stitches if i got up to go

  5. I was scheduled to be induced at 6 am on Monday because I was 6 days overdue, however, 9pm the night before contractions started coming and coming fast. I live in Minnesota and of course there was a snow storm that night (February) so we made it to the hospital about 11 pm. They gave me a pill to help me get some sleep. I woke up at 5 am and was doing ok. Well, my mom came up at 6am and contractions were the worst. Epidural at 7:20 am. Started pushing at 12 noon, after the Dr. had her lunch, and my baby girl was born at 12:33pm. I might add that by then the epidural had worn off and I felt everything pushing her out. And I did tear a little bit but it wasn't bad at all.

  6. 34.5 hours of labor. There was meconium in the fluid when they broke my water.  They started pitocin after 18 hours and I was only at 2cm.  I got an epidural at 24 hours.  I pushed for only 30 minutes and had my little girl, 9 pounds even!

She breathed in the meconium before they could suction all of it and developed pneumonia.  She had to stay in the hospital for 9 days and get antibiotics.

  7. i had a very complicated pregnancy due to a hip fracture from a car accident at 4 mos. pregnant. by my due date, i was dialated to 5. a week later, i went into labor at 5am, got to the hopitol at 7am, was dialated to 8 so the had to do the epidural quickly because it was all way to painful for me. the epi didnt work (said i was to tense) so they did a spinal block anastesia. after 9 hours labor, 3 were painful, the other 6 were fine cause i couldnt feel anything. i pushed for maybe 1 minute, then her heart rate began to drop, so they did an emergency c section. i started to freak out, so they knocked me out and i didnt see kayla till she was clean and 3 hours old, i was very upset, but she was worth it. then when i went home, the incision line opened, so i had to go to my doc every day for 2 weeks so she could clean it and stuff it.

  8. my labor lasted for 12 hours... it started as back labor and i didn't even realize what was going on until my mom said "Are you sure you aren't in labor??" because I just thought I had a sore back... I went to the hospital at 10:30 pm and I was already 5cm dilated... I got an epidural at around 11:30 and that slowed things down unfortunately... My son was born at 6:07am the next day!!  I did tear and while I was getting stitched up my husband got to hold our son first - he still teases me about that!!

  9. 26 hour labor, water finally broke, got epidhural, didn't dialate past 2cm, baby heart rate dropped, emergency c-section, baby born in 9 minutes, baby girl was PERFECT.

    second pregnancy:

check-in, catheter, jokes, epi, more jokes, repeat c-section, second PERFECT little girl. lots of eating, blogging, went home.

  10. I went in the night before with back labor, around 11 pm. They gave me a pill to take that put my to sleep for the night. In the morning they induced me at 8 am. I was in labor for about 21 hours. I had an epidural around 1 pm. Around 8 pm they took the epidural off me because they wanted me to feel when i had to push. I started pushing at 9 : 30 pm. They had to give me oxygen because i wasnt breathing right, and sometime in there they told me to stop pushing because my daughter had the umbelical cord around her neck and they had to take it off. My daughter was born at 11:08 pm. Beautiful and Healthy :)

  11. Baby #1 - 1st labor pain at exactly 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.  "It's a Girl!" came 7:14 p.m. Thursday night.  3-1/2 hours of pushing before they said, "ok, it's time for a c-section, 'cuz this baby ain't coming!"

Baby #2 - showed up an hour before surgery with my hair washed and clean clothes on.  Ahhhh...much better!

    Baby #3 - same thing.

  12. Mine was pretty good.  I was in labor for 11 hours, I got the epidural.  It took me an hour and a half to push him out, and no I didn't tear or have to be cut! I was very happy about that.  :)
