The Catalans' academy product knows that competition from the youth-system is extreme and it is about taking your chance and performing when you get the opportunity
Christian Tello is one of the few lucky youngsters, who have made it to the Blaugrana’s first team squad, following intense competition from the academy’s youth ranks.
The young forward believes that growing up at Barcelona is always special, yet difficult, as there is so much competition amongst the youth ranks.
Only a few lucky boys go on to fulfil their dream of progressing to the first team squad of the Catalan giants, and Tello has backed the claim of it being extremely difficult.
On current note, Barcelona have one of the best youth system in the world, and have produced the best players of this generation from their own academy system, in the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, Andres Iniesta, and Hernandez Xavi.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Busquets-c33048, and a host of other names have graduated from the famous La Masia and ironically, all of these big names are living a dream at probably the best team that the history of the game has
ever seen.
Christian Tello is also coy on cementing his place amongst other academy graduates and thinks that he has taken his opportunity well.
The forward scored a goal in Barcelona’s latest 3-1 win over Real Valladolid and has also recently signed a new contract with the club that he loves.
"It rarely happens that you enter the game and score straight away. The goal returns the confidence the club has shown in me.”
"I'm playing in the best team in the world and with the best strikers," he added when asked about the amount of competition he faced.
Tello also went on to talk about their ill manager, Tito Vilanova
"It's been a very difficult week for us," Tello continued.
"But we're happy about the news we have heard in the last hours and from here we send all our strength."
