Question:

Temp. for hot water boiler?

What temperature should our hot water boiler be at during the summer? We're trying to save money and it is heated by heating oil. I read the temp shouldn't be below 130 F, so I was thinking of setting the minimum to 130 F and the max. to 140 F.

Any suggestions?

  1. I've had maintenance people turn the temperature up because they say the same thing about the setting but, as soon as they leave, I turn it back down to the lowest (90 degrees, I think) since there's no point in arguing with them.
