Question:

Temp gauge goes up to hot pretty fast when driving.

Do I need to add some antifreeze or water. I think I kinda smell something too?

  1. 50/50 coolant/antifreeze...check oil while you foolin with it.


  2. you are probably ruining ther engine driving it that way.get a mechanic or another car.

  3. You might want to check you thermostat. And change your antifreeze

  4. they forgot to tell you that you should not drive or run the engine untill this problem is fixed if an engine get overheated it can do alot of damage to it you could blew it up unless you got a few thousand for anew engine instalation dont drive it until its fixed thermostat ,water pump catalyst converter could be bad also have someone check them out for you and yes a catalyst converter when they go bad they clog up and cause lots of back pressure on the engine which inturn causes overheating

  5. don't add water to it and don't attempt adding anything to it while its hot,wait until it cools down some,you need to have this one checked for leaks if its loosing coolant there has to be a leak causing that to happen,and driving it hot will ruin a good engine even getting it hot a few times will do hundreds of dollars in damage to it,good luck.
