  1. Dana, you haven't linked "directly to the data". Your NASA GISS link is just a stock graphic, generated months ago. The latest GISS data (along all the other major temperature tracking data) can be seen at the link given below.

As the graphs show, temperatures (including NASA's) show a strong drop over the past year.

  2. Wow, what a terribly written article.  Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures?  Wrong.

Let's just forget this article and look directly at the data.

As you can see in the 2007 global temperature data, the average global temperature increased from March-April, July-August, and September-October 2007.  Where's the 12-month long drop in temperatures?

So now we had a cold January.  Yet it was only 0.005°C colder than January of 2000, which is the 8th-hottest year on record.  And this one month is evidence of global cooling?

Sorry, but there's a difference between weather and climate.  January was cold because of a strong La Nina cycle effecting the weather.  The planet will continue to warm despite this one cold month.  I wish it were that easy to get rid of global warming, but it's simply not.

  3. Great - Now Al Gore will come out with a new movie blaming us for this one.  I'm hoping to see cute cartoon tropical animals shivering in the jungle.

  4. just Wait 6 months from now they will adjust there data to look like it is still getting warmer.

here is a site that tells how they do it.

  5. I geuss Al Gore was bored with Global warming so he changed to Global Cooling. =P What a nice guy... *cough

  6. Great! Global Warming has been defeated!

Now, tell that to the Managers of the big nuclear powerplants in the South-East, from Tennesse to Florida that are running out of water and will not have enough to cool the reactor and will have to shut down.

Tell them their instruments are all wrong and the Nuclear reactors should not be shut down because the world is cooling down and the reactors will not "runaway".

Did you see the "China Syndrome"?

Don't be too surprised if after they tap the thermometers the temperature does not drop off and these, hugely expensive plants, build to the worse imaginable conditions, have to be shut down and cites in that part will be out of air conditioning. I wonder where will they go, they have to get to a cool place by THIS summer. Not Las Vegas, they had a day with 129 Deg. Fahrenheit in the summer of 2007.

But thanks, this means that the One Million Square Miles of ice floes that melted last summer, more than normal, will not melt again this summer.  Wow! This is big news indeed.... that is, if it is true. Are you sure of your facts? How come it didn't make the headlines, all over the world? You are not just kidding, are you? Thanks anyway, "false" hope is better than no hope, I think...

  7. Trust me..the warming freaks will blame it on global warming.
