Temperature and pressure increases as depth below crust increase?

Yes, it is true.

Temperature increases because you are getting closer to the inner core of the earth which is the source of earth's interior heat.

Pressure increases because not only do you have the column of air above the earth exerting pressure on you but you now have a column of earth exerting pressure on you.
