Temperature gone, now rash on stomach!?

I have been to the doctors and they think I have a viral infection, however they could not test my urine because I came on my period. This was before I got the rash on my stomach. Does anyone know what it could be? I'm rather worried.

  1. They were probably thinking a urinary tract infection (UTI) at first.  But UTIs don't cause a rash.  Yours sounds like roseola... which is a viral infection that starts with a fever for several days, then as the fever goes away a rash on your torso comes on and spreads.

Roseola is typically a "childhood" disease... and you didn't state your age.  That info is part of the thinking process.

If it is viral, the treatment is still to focus on the symptoms.  That being said, tylenol or motrin for fevers and aches, drink lots of fluids... don't take aspirin at all.

The link below talks more about roseola.  If you have further concerns, go back to your doctor and update them with the changes.

    Hope this helps.   Peace

  2. If you had a virus, sometimes the fever goes away, and the virus leaves your body via a rash.  I wouldn't worry about it, it probably means you are better.
