Temperature of the tank for corn snakes?

Question

what temperature should my corn snake's tank be? i have heard soooo many different things from different people and stores...it is summer and when i turn on his heat lamp,, it goes alot over 90.... but when i dont turn it on it is about 80 and at night a little under 80. should i get a night lamp for him or can i use the same one day and night?
