Temple Meads looking to score in the Pearl Bloodstock Palace House Stakes
Temple Meads, trained by Ed McMahon, will be making a comeback in the Pearl Bloodstock Palace House Stakes which is scheduled to take place at Newmarket on Saturday, 5th May, 2012.
The four-year-old colt has been on a lay-off and previously competed in the Shadwell Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on 1st October, 2010, where he finished eighth.
McMahon is confident in the ability of his runner to score as he stated:

"He's on course to run but it's probably the softest ground he's ever encountered, although he did win on good to soft, first time out as a two-year-old," the trainer told the press.
He further went on to say:
"He's been on the go a fair time and we've got to get him out. It will just depend if the ground will affect him or not. He hasn't run for over 12 months. If everything goes right, we are on course for one or two planned races. Let's just hope he can
come back to be as good as he was as a two-year-old.”
The son of Avonbridge, out of mare Harryana, has won three of his five starts, and with a little bit of luck and effort, he is bound to excel.
McMahon stated that the runner has been kept away from the track because he has had some problems, and racing him in such conditions was not the feasible option.

He emphasized on the fact that the gelding will be fit to compete in the event which is scheduled to take place this weekend.
Whelped on 7th April, 2009, the runner landed a victory in the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes (Group 2) at Newbury on 18th September, 2010, where he defeated, Formosina, by 1 ¾ lengths.
Margot Did, daughter of Exceed And Excel, out of mare, Special Dancer, is also a likely contender for this race. However, her recent performances have been falling short of her potential.
Her tenth place finish in the Al Quoz Sprint Sponsored By Emirates NBD at Meydan was not an encouraging sign, but trainer Michael Bell believes that his ground will suit her more.
