I'm a sophomore running track & early in the season I was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma. I was prescribed 2 inhalers, Symbacort and Albulterol, & At first i had to do symb. twice daily & alb. every 4-6 hours for two weeks, then my doctor said to only do alb. when I needed it, i.e. an asthma attack. Well my season is almost over & I did badly in our county & league meets. I ran the 4x800 meter relay just fine, but both meets I had an asthma attack in the 1 mile, which brings up the point that my first coughing fit in the beginning of the season was in the mile. After I have an attack in the mile & use my inhaler, I feel unusually weak, but I have to run the 2 mile about 20minutes later, so needless to say I've been running horrible times in the 1 &2 mile, but not in the 4x800 relay. A few weeks ago I ran a meet where I only ran the 2 mile, not the 1, & I did very well(2nd)

How can I run better by districts? Someone suggested tempo running, how can can I do that alone?

Thanks
