Is it possible for me to be home schooled for 2 or 3 months and then go back to school for the rest of the year?

  1. Contact your local school board and find out. some cases they allow schoolwork to continue by corrispondance.  In that case you would be doing the same work that you would be doing in school and still get your credits.

  2. Why only 2 or 3 months? If it's a medical reason then it shouldn't be a problem and in our area the  school system has programs in place where a teacher will come to your home and help you with assignments about once a week and then when your better you simply go back to school.

If its just to try it out I would suggest your parents pull you all the way out and you start a home school curriculum.  If you like it keep it up if you don't then go back.

  3. You'll probably end up with a no credit and have to do the class over.

  4. It depends on what your circumstances are, like you cant just have Home Schooling because you feel like it, you have to have a reason. I'm 15, and i was off for months having Home School because of anxiety problems, i'm going back now but alot of work to catch up on and exams. It's best to stay at school believe me.

  5. Depends on your public school. But, most generally, if you withdraw in the middle of a semester, you will lose the credit you were working on, which means you would have to start this year over in homeschooling. You can knock out a semester, easily, in that amount of time. But, you would need to check and see if that semester's credit will transfer back in to the school easily and credit for credit.

If it won't, you either need to stay put, or consider homeschooling as permanent and not temporary.
