Question:

Temporary phone service in ireland?

I have an Irish phone, because I used to live there. I moved back a few months ago, and I'm planning on spending next summer there. Is there a way to get temporary service with the irish phone I already have?

  1. I presume you mean a mobile phone.  If it is a contract phone, get in touch online with the provider  -  www.O2.ie or whoever else you were with.  If it is a pay-as-you-go, then you just need an Irish sim card.  My son wanted a new sim card, and I got it free just by asking at a mobile phone shop.

    Hope this helps.

  2. If it's a mobile, check from the operator how long hte number will be valid from last top up. It may still be valid then... if not, check which ones have the best starter deals, usually you can get the phone number and 20 euros of credit for 20 euros so if it will be for a few months that's probably the best choice.

Meteor or O2 are probably the best.

  3. If it's a mobile phone, go into the company that sold it to you, they might be able to set you up with a card.
