Its a shame that Jonny has gone to the dying WSB championship, but it is good news to get him on the world stage.

Lets face it, Honda love this kid, and who can blame them. Hes is fast [ read VERY fast ] knows what to do infront of the camera, and even was back up man at Suzuka.

3 words for 2009.

Goodbye Nicky Hayden.

You heard it hear first folks. I am off to the bookies in the morning to put money on it. J Rea, Repsol Honda 2009.

Well Done Jonny.

What are your thoughts on this great news?

  1. Great news. I'm a bit surprised that he's initially going to the WSS team, seeing as he's already a proven race winner on the bigger machine, and he was offered a ride on the Xerox Ducati WSBK. But still....Ten Kate have won the WSS title for the last six years running!

So I'll predict slightly different from you:

    2008 WSS champion

2009 Fighting for a WSBK Chapionship

    2010 Hello Moto GP

  2. Hayden did a good development job for Honda last year. I would not be so keen to right him off just yet. Wonder boy pedrosa hasn't exactly shone through yet and did I hear he still hasn't signed on the dotted line yet. shock of shocks !!!

  3. Hey Wiggy,

I like SBK's so am pleased he's going to be riding one.

As he said in one of his interviews, he loves Honda and want's to spend his career with them so instead of the Duke with the big boys, he gets to learn the courses on a bike that should be no problem for him at all. (Didn't he do some of the TT on a 600 this year? Or is my shonky memory being as bad as usual?)

As for Haydon - time will tell, but I wouldn't be shocked.
