Ten of Hall of Famers to play Fresh & Easy Charity Pro-Am
The Fresh & Easy Charity Pro-Am is going to be staged on March 25, with the participation of ten LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Hall of Famers.
The event will be played before Kraft Nabisco Championship, boosting the tempo of players.
According to the details, the LPGA Hall of Famers will be playing under the leadership of Amy Alcott, who is also the tournament organiser.
Speaking to media about the upcoming event, Alcott said that officials and players have been impatiently waiting for the Fresh & Easy Charity Pro-Am.
She said that the participation of competitive players will help the officials improve the quality of the event.
CEO of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, Tim Mason expressed his pleasure about the event, saying he expects that the March 25 event will see a strong field, comprising some of the big names in women’s golf.
Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market is a leading grocery chain in the United Kingdom. Since the tournament is sponsored by Fresh & Easy, officials are taking keen interest in staging the tournament with typical LPGA efficiency.
“We are very excited to welcome back the LPGA greats for an exciting charity pro-am and pro-junior event to kick off tournament week,” Mason said.
Mason further said that Kraft Nabisco Championship has long been one of the prestigious events of the LPGA Tour and Fresh & Easy Charity Pro-Am will make a good start to it.
“We are honored to celebrate the incredibly rich history of women’s golf at the Kraft Nabisco Championship while also providing an incredible opportunity for young female golfers to play with their idols and the game’s best,” Mason said.
The players who confirmed their participation so far include Amy Alcott, the leader, Jane Blalock, Pat Bradley, Donna Caponi, JoAnne Carner, Beth Daniel, Betsy King, Nancy Lopez, Meg Mallon, Patricia Meunier-Lebouc, Liselotte Neumann, Sandra Palmer, Patty
Sheehan, Hollis Stacy and Kathy Whitworth.
The event was launched by Alcott, who himself remained a competent golfer. Alcott won the Kraft Nabisco Championship three times. Due to her affiliation with the LPGA, American Alcott actively contributed her services to the event.
