My computer background isn't letting me change it. When I go to <start < My computer < change a setting < apperance and themes < all it says is "change the computer's theme" and "change screen resoulution" It doesn't have "change the desktop background" or "change the screen saver" I've tried clicking on the change the computer's them, but none of the tabs have change screen saver, or change desktop background. How do I fix this? I've done it before, but no my computer's just acting dumb. Please don't tell me to go to a site and push "make as background." or go to paint and make a paint my background. How do I get vortex space, and stuff back? Please answer a.s.a.p. Thanks.

P.S. That properties just leads to the same place "change a setting does", so please don't tell me adivce I already know!

  1. There should be tabs on the top, one says "desktop" which is where the wallpapers are.

  2. Go to control panel click on display, a box should come up that has tabs on top; you can change your background with these.

  3. This sounds like a classic malware infection. There are several that will remove access to multiple tabs in display properties, as well as admin access for account features.

Download, install and update Malwarebytes Anti-malware from http://www.malwarebytes.org

Then, just to clean up the extra stuff that is there, download, install and update Spybot from http://www.spybot.net
