Ten reasons to love Tiger Woods despite all odds (Part 2)
For all those out there who have read the first part of “Ten reasons to love Tiger Woods despite all odds”, here is the second and last part.
5. He is the best at his game
Tiger Woods has retained his world no. 1 golfer title which means that he is still the best in his field. Despite scoring over par in at least one round of every tournament recently, Tiger still has the charm that compels other players to agree to his abilities.
He is the one player who has broken almost all the records of Jack Nicklaus.
Once the drama over his illicit relationships and divorce fades away, he will surely get his focus back on the game to break even more records. Ever since the age of five when Woods started swinging a golf club, he has broken records at every stage and posted
victory in every event that he set his eyes on.
6. He isn’t perfect
Heroes like Superman or Spiderman have to be perfect but Tiger Woods is no such hero. He is a simple human being and humans aren’t perfect. Well, this would be a sigh of relief for the fans who envy Tiger as flawless. Until last year when Tiger’s illicit
relationships were not revealed, it had seemed difficult to accept someone with so many qualities as a mere human being.
But now, as he throws his clubs when he misses a shot and reveals his real side, a feeling of confidence arises that he is like every human who has flaws.
7. He excels the expectations
Be that good or be that bad; Tiger exceeds the expectations benchmark. When he is expected to win a tournament by five shots, he takes it by 15. Similarly, when a birdie is being expected in an easy hole, he cards an eagle.
Be it the 2008 U.S. Open, where he posted a victory despite returning from a knee surgery, or be it the 2006 British Open, his third tournament after his father’s death where he shot -18; Tiger takes everyone by surprise.
8. He has mental toughness
Earl Woods once said that it wasn’t easy to beat his son Tiger Woods mentally. It seems as if the father knew his son better as Tiger fought a painful knee and Rocco Mediate in the playoff session during the 2008 U.S. Open. Like Lee Westwood he could have
withdrawn, but instead he kept a hold on his will and posted his 14th Major victory.
Moreover, back in 2003 at the Bay Hill Invitational, Tiger was so sick that he vomited several times but despite that he kept steady and won the tournament by 11 strokes.
9. He isn't a showoff
It’s good that Tiger does not wear Orange like Rickie Fowler! In times when players show off their wealth through flashy attires, alloy wheels and diamonds, Tiger doesn’t bother a bit. He is the richest pro athlete in the world who has a 155-foot yacht with
a $65 million gig in South Hamptons, but still he is not found flaunting his wealth in the media.
10. He always comes up big
When Woods was the best, he stood for it and now when he is one of the worst, he stands for it as well. Like all men, Tiger also dreamed big and to his credit, he achieved it as well. He was big on the field and now he is literally big with the ladies as
well.
This is what Tiger is like. Tiger had his ups and downs. At present, he is fighting his torn personal life and ruined career but the time doesn’t seem too far when he will make a comeback with his usual charisma.
This is it for now but do read the upcoming article on ten reasons to hate Tiger Woods, although it’s kind of a lame as no matter what Tiger does, he would still remain loveable.
