Tenancy rated favourite for Hardings Catering Handicap (Div I)
Tenancy has got excellent odds for winning the Hardings Catering Handicap (Div I) at Brighton in England. The winner of the class-6 event will be awarded a cash prize of £1,617.
The going will be good in the 5 furlong 213 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 14:15 GMT. A total of 13 runners have lined up for action, but most of them are struggling for form and consistency, which will make things a touch uncertain in the end.
However, Tenancy is carrying a very good momentum and the good ground will suit his running style more than anyone else. He has got plenty of experience, thus knows how to shine under pressure situations.
The eight-year-old gelding does not have an ideal strike rate, as he has managed to win just seven races out of 84 outings. Interestingly, he has finished runner up and third on the same number of times in his career.
Rock Of Gibraltar’s son made his debut back in 2006 and was pretty much impressive in his first ever race. He finished third that time around, despite the fact that there were some extremely good runners up against him. His performance boosted his confidence
and he delivered some consistent results afterwards.
However, the Shaun Harris’ trainee had to wait for a long time before he could bring up his maiden victory in the sport. He was not rated as favourite back then, but was still expected to finish amongst the top three. He displayed excellent speed and took
the top spot after a thrilling fight against his rivals.
Over the past couple of seasons, the Irish runner has been unable to deliver consistent results. However, he bounced back to form in his most recent run, where he stormed to the top by a couple of lengths. His start was impressive, as he took the lead very
early and did not give any chances to his opponents.
Due to his excellent show last time around, Tenancy has been given a general starting price of 11 to 4. He will be ridden by young jockey, Shirley Teasdale, who has been impressive in his career until now. However, his recent form has not been good, which
will discourage the punters from risking money on him.
