Tenant & landlord Question?

I am a private renting tenant, the washing machine which is supplied by the landlord has damaged my clothes. Holes have been left on a number of my clothes. Is the landlord responsible for rein bursting me for the damaged clothes?

  1. You have to tell your landlord first of all. Ask if He or she would help you out on your damage clothes. Until you know that it is fixed, you need to go else where to wash. You could only get what the clothes are worth at the time of damage. They are used. See if you can get a few bucks off rent.


  2. Only if you can prove it in court. It would help if you had "before and after" photo's, but that still won't prove that, "that" washing machine caused the damage. About all you can do, is tell him about the problem, and if he doesn't do anything about it, go to the laundrymat.
