Tender abdominals, whats wrong with me?

so, i've been feeling weird the past few days, and because i'm completely paranoid i immediately thought "oh my god i'm pregnant!"

which, now that i think about it, seems highly unlikely.

here whats wrong with me:

woke up 2 days ago at 8 am with entire stomach area (starting from right under my b***s in my ribcage to below bellybutton) sore. i felt pain and my stomach felt uneasy for about an hour but then it went away. pain came back around 6 pm but went away again.

since that morning i've had a constant "uneasy" and tender feeling in that entire area

also, this is gross but my stomach has been making "digesting noises" more frequently. i've had a little more gas, only a barely noticeable amount more but like i've had the need to burp more and.. yeah.

i was so scared i was pregnant that i think i convinced myself my stomach was swollen, but actually looking at it, it's not at all.

i haven't had a missed period, am on the pill and the last time i had s*x we used a condom. (this was also the DAY BEFORE i got these symptoms). the only other time we've had s*x since my last period, we stopped almost immediately.

(and i've been on the pill for 2+ years, to stop overly long periods that my doctor actually doesnt know why they were happening.)

i also have had symptoms of anxiety problems and was having a pretty bad time with them about a month ago due to stress. lack of sleep, appitite, scared uneasy feeling..

and also, i've been eating like c**p the past few days starting the day before this happened.

the day before i had coffee, part of a scone, gelato and raw cookie dough (the kind you buy at the store ready made, i always eat it uncooked.)

but i've barely been eating but could raw cookie dough maybe case this? i alway eat it reaw and havent had problems before.

  1. I think you may have answered your own question in paragraphs 8 and 9. If you have anxiety issues this can cause a lot of epigastric (abdominal) pain. Also, you said you have been eating a lot of bad foods, and this could be another reason why you feel all bloated and nasty.

I also eat raw cookie dough, occasionally (its definitely not an every day thing or every week) and I have never had problems. But in your case, I would revise your diet and keep note of things you eat and how you feel. If there are certain foods that "Trigger" these episodes you may want to cut out these trigger foods to aviod future cases of feeling like c**p.

I would advise to drink plenty of water, stay away from carbonated beverages like soda, more fruits and vegetables, and take some Gas-X or Beano. Also, you may be constipated and for this you can get MiraLax over the counter, which is great for relieving that.

    I hope you feel better

  2. Well, you said you've been "eating like c**p" and it started the day before you got these stomach cramps?  It sounds like you're eating a lot of sugars and caffeine.  Those can definitely contribute to lack of sleep.

Perhaps try regulating your diet - whole grains (rice) and good proteins (chicken?) might be a good idea.  Drink clear fluids (if you're craving sugar, try the flavored water additives).

I'd suggest calling your normal doctor/internist and ask them what they think (especially if you have unrelated anxiety).
