Tenhoo and Pahente to lock horns in Betfred "5X The Odds On Lucky 63´s" Handicap
Tenhoo and Pahente are expected to give a tough time to each other in the Betfred "5X The Odds On Lucky 63´s" Handicap (For Gentleman Amateur Riders) at Haydock in England on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Both are pretty decent runners and are carrying the
winning momentum right now, thus anyone of them is likely to walk away with a cash prize of £2,184 from the class-4 event.
A total of nine runners have been attracted towards the 1 mile, 3 furlong and 200 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 17:10 GMT. However, none of them seems to be in a position to challenge the top two favourites.
Out of the above mentioned runners, Pahente will be a lot more confident, as he has won a couple of back-to-back events recently. He will be looking to record a hat-trick of victories, but things will not be easy for him at all.
The four-year-old gelding has never raced at Haydock, but has the ability to cope up with the conditions at this venue. He should not have a lot of issues, as the going has been described as good.
Overall, the Tony Carroll’s trainee has struggled a lot since making his debut in the sport, but his recent form suggests that his hard work has finally started to pay off. He will need to win with more consistency in order to gain the confidence of the
bookies in bigger events as well.
On the other hand, Tenhoo is a slightly more experience runner compared to his main rival and he has also raced at Haydock before. This will give him a lot of confidence, but has not been much consistent in recent times, which will discourage the punters
from placing bets on him.
The Eric Alston’s trainee struggled for most of the 2012 season, but brought up his first victory of the year previously. He will look to carry the momentum into today’s race in order to fight for a victory.
The six-year-old gelding has participated in three events at Haydock and has managed to win one of them. Therefore, he has a better chance of shining under young jockey, Mr S. Walker.
