Tennerife?

hi im due to go on holiday to playa de las americas on june20th this year. has anybody out there already been and can u recommend any good things to do like excursions/clubs etc? i am stayin in the cloumbus hotel if this helps thank you in advance

Hi we have been to Tenerife 6 times over the past 5 years and we love it but it really depends on which type of holiday you are looking for.

Are you young and single, if the answers yes the Columbus should suit you fine as it is near to Veronica's strip which is where all the nitelife for young people is suituated but be warned it can be very rowdy.

Last summer when we were there we went on the catamaran excursion to see the whales and dolphins and we enjoyed it.

The waterpark is a good day out as well but try and go on a Friday or Tuesday as that is a change over day and it is not as busy.  Also if you go at the weekend it is full of locals.

There is a beach further up from where you are staying called Torviscas Beach and its a small bay with an activity centre type thing out in the sea.  Its good for a laugh as it has trampolines and a sort of rock climbing thing but it looks easy but its not.

Also if you go further past Veronicas towards Los Cristianos there is an area called the Patch and go to the Dubliner bar its great with a live band every night who are fantastic.
