  1. well, if you want a school with an unparalleled athletic tradition as well as a top-20 univeristy academically, notre dame is the obvious choice. The campus is gorgeous (i've been to both and notre dame is way prettier), the atmosphere is unmatchable, and the alumni network is the best in the country. Tennessee may give you a drunken good time, but Notre Dame will give you dignity, intelligence, and a winning team.

why wouldn't you choose the best sports school in the nation? tenne-wha?

  2. Women's sports are probably more popular, and better funded at Tennessee.  You need to choose what is best for your needs and wants, not what we think, $EC is much more competitive conference that ND independent/big east conference. UT is a great place that is were I go. They drink plenty in  South Bend, more than you could know.

  3. Tennessse is good at both volleyball and softball!

  4. I'm from Tennessee...so I got to go with them!

  5. Tennesee it is wonderful!!!

  6. Tennesee!!!! Its a great college and state!

  7. well, rtichare, as a close friend of melissa, i can tell you that us two KNOW how much drinking goes on in south bend. we are irish after all ;-)

but, to give you a straight answer, this question has only been answered by two types of people: a) tennessee fans. or b) notre dame fans. No one is going to say "don't pick my school because we suck." if you truly are competitive enough in both sports that division 1 schools are looking at you, you need to ask the advice of your coach, your teachers, your guidance counselor, and your parents. visit both campuses and talk to students and the members on the teams. get a feel for the atmosphere. the schools are very different and both may not fit your personality. take some time to research and then make an educated decision. don't just listen to some fans on a message board.

    good luck in both sports!

  8. tennessee for sure!

  9. MARSHALL ALL THE WAY!

  10. First of all, get realistic for a moment. To play division I college sports isn't that easy. It's a combo of hard work and natural ability. Academics should be your top priority.

If you are good, and you know you're good, and people told you you're good, and people come and recruit you instead of you recruiting them....THEN I would say Tennessee is the place. what sport are you more likely to get a scholarship in?
